For the past 15 years, Darrel has been with The NPD Group, where early in his career he was instrumental in bringing information technology, software, distributor information technology, and video game tracking services to the Canadian market. His client portfolio includes some of the top PC and printing manufacturers, along with other companies across the information technology and video game markets.
Darrel’s perspectives have been featured in industry publication Market News, and he has been quoted in news and business outlets such as The Toronto Star, The Globe and Mail, and other regional newspapers.
Prior to joining The NPD Group, Darrel provided insight and industry expertise as vice president, computer industry services at Nielsen Canada, where he focused on the information technology and video game industries.
Keith Barber has been with NPD for 17 years. He is Senior Vice President, leading our key point-of-sale data based units serving the Consumer Electronics, Technology, Home, Gaming and Toys industries in Canada. He is also responsible for the consumer and custom offerings driven off of our complementary online consumer panel serving these verticals. Keith also oversees our Product Function, overseeing the development and maintenance of tracking and specialty products and business decision tools in Canada and Mexico.
Prior to joining NPD, Keith spent several years with Nielsen Canada where he worked extensively with CPG clients and retailers; then moved to head up Computer Industry Services and Business Development sectors.
Keith holds an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University, in Waterloo, Ontario.
